Saraswat bank has been one of those banks that has been doing very well and has crossed a profit of Rs 50,000 crore. Being a bank for social service, it has announced a donation of 1 crore to Maharashtra for its current drought conditions caused by the shortage of rainfall in the past two years. This has resulted to major shortage of water availability throughout the country. Realising the seriousness of the situation, the bank donated half a crore to the NAAM Foundation and the other half to the Chief Minister's Drought Relief Fund.
Nana Patekar
handed over the cheque since he was the founder of the NAAM Foundation.
