The director and writer of Masaan who had also won national awards in the 63rd National Award which was held in Delhi, had donated their money for the relief of the Drought effected villages in Maharashtra. They did so to help the needy people and made a great effort for making people aware of their situation. They said they decided it soon after the award was announced, according to them it was not much but it was the little they can do to support the cause. They jointly gave away 1 lakh and made sure that they will find a way to make it reach to them properly.
