Inspector Zende is based on the real life chase between Madhukar Zende, a cop from Bombay Police and Charles Sobhraj, the notorious serial killer cum conman. Charles had executed an audacious jailbreak from Tihar Jail in 1986, only to be recaptured by a team led by Zende in Goa a couple of months later. While Manoj Bajpayee is playing the character inspired by Inspector Zende, Jim Sarbh will playing the role of the notorious serial killer.
