The film was released on the occasion of Pongal, in January 2024. Made on a modest budget of 50 crores, the film turned out to be commercially successful. The film earned almost 105 crores from worldwide collections.

So why the delay in the Hindi release of OTT? It is an unsaid rule that all the versions of any movie released will not be released on the same platform on the same day. There should be a gap of at least a month between the OTT release of a particular movie in one language, and the OTT release of the same movie in another. Just recently, ‘12^th Fail’ was released in the vernacular on Disney+ Hotstar. However, the main OTT release happened a couple of months ago, in December 2023.
