Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the stylish beauty was first approached to play a negative role in “Dhanush” Amala Paul starrer, “Velai Illa Pattadhari 2.” The film is directed by “Soundarya R Ashwin,” the daughter of Superstar “Rajinikanth.” After hearing the full story, Aishwarya denied doing the role. Later on, the team approached Kajol Devgan. Kajol was impressed with the negative role and agreed to do it. She had played in a Tamil movie Minsara Kanavu directed by Rajeev Menon in the late 90s. The role of Kajol in VIP 2 is similar to that of Neelambari played by Ramya Krishnan in “Padaiyappa.” Will Kajol fit in the role? We have to wait and watch! The film is produced by “Kalaipuli S.
