Nawazuddin’s Next Is Costao

After a short break, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is back to business.

The actor will now be seen more on the OTT than in the theatre. His next project is Costao, which is a political thriller directed by Sejal Shah.

Set in the 90s, the movie is based on Costao Fernandes, a customs officer who had busted a gold smuggling racket in Goa, though the journey was far from being a cakewalk. The movie also stars actors like Kishore Kumar G, Priya Bapat etc. in prominent roles. The movie will be premiering on the OTT platform Zee5 within 2025. 

Once the talk of the town, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently struggling to regain his lost position in Bollywood. The actor hasn’t seen a single commercial success since 2017, when he starred in MOM, which had Sridevi in the lead role.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui last starred in Adbhut which was a supernatural thriller co-starring Rohan Mehra, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Diana Penty etc. The movie directly premiered on Sony MAX last year. Siddiqui is working on multipe projects, all of which will be released on the OTT. His most awaited venture is Raat Akeli Hai 2, which is the sequel to the film of the same name that released in 2020 on Netflix.
