On Thursday, Xiaomi officially unveiled the Xiaomi 14 in India. This is the second smartphone from the same brand that has Leica optics and was launched in the country. It is also one of the most affordable Android smartphones launched this year.
The Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is made of a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The classic size made it easy to hold it in one hand. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is super fast and power-efficient, making its battery last for a day. Not to mention that it is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
Xiaomi’s latest flagship phone also offers 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It uses dual nano SIM card slots and is 5G supported. It comes with Android 14-based HyperOS, giving the phone a smooth and powerful performance.
One of the best features of Xiaomi 14 is its 50-megapixel triple camera array, which includes the 50-megapixel primary shooter with 1/1.31” sensor, 23mm equivalent, f/1.6 aperture lens, AF, OIS; a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens that has 14mm equivalent focal length, f2.2 aperture lens, 115°; and a 50-megapixel floating telephoto lens with 75mm equivalent, f/2.0 aperture lens, AF, OIS. It even got the 3rd spot in DxOMark (a camera benchmarking platform), giving the phone a rating of 138 points.
According to DxOMark, there were several improvements in the Xiaomi 14’s camera over the Xiaomi 13. These improvements include a larger sensor and a bigger aperture. The price in India will start at Rs 69,999. The sale will start on March 11, 2024, and will be available for purchase on Amazon India and Xiaomi’s website.
