WhatsApp for Android is continuously adding new features that will simplify the process of using the app. Recently, they added another new feature to make sending high-quality images and videos easy. The sending option will allow users to pick their preferred media quality for all upcoming uploads. This latest feature adds a setting that allows users to indicate whether they will send media in standard or HD quality. Once set, all the upcoming uploads will use the same preference.
This feature was recognized in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.7.12 build by WABetaInfo (WhatsApp update tracker). They are rolling out the beta version to testers through the Google Play Beta Program on Monday. According to reports, this feature enables users to set the upload quality of their images and videos straight from their Settings. This will eliminate the need to repeat the same process in each new media upload.
The new setting, media upload quality, is visible under the Storage and Data menu. It allows users to send media in standard or HD quality. Once the user chooses an option, the same preference will be used in future uploads.
