David Liu, Poco’s global executive, recently hinted the arrival of the new Poco F series phone; however, he did not reveal the exact model name. According to reports, this latest phone is the Poco F6, which has the codename “Peridot.”
The Xiaomi sub-brand did not announce the launch date of this latest F series device, but rumors about its specifications have emerged online. The Poco F6 is expected to run on the latest chip, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, and will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 camera. It is speculated that the Poco F6 will be Redmi Note 13 Turbo’s rebranded version, which hasn’t been announced yet.
The Poco F6 will be the second smartphone in the world to run Qualcomm’s latest chipset after Xiaomi’s Civi 4 Pro. Poco has used the same sensor as Realme 12 Pro 5G and iQoo Z9 5G. It will also include an 8-megapixel Soy IMX355 ultra wide-angle camera.
Although this device has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, there are no reports about the display specifications yet. David Liu confirmed the existence of the Poco F6, wich is expected to launch in April or May, together with the Poco F6 Pro.
