Ghanta Naveen Babu, known by the screen name of Nani, is a Telugu actor, producer, and television presenter. He is the recipient of two Nandi awards and two Filmfare awards. He has also been nominated three times for the Filmfare Best Actor nominations. So, he is indeed a very prestigious actor in the Telugu cinema. 1. Eega

Eega (known as The Fly in English) is an SS Rajamouli-directed film wherein Nani portrays the character of a lover who loves Bindu (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) but is killed by a jealous Sudeep, who lusts after Bindu. Nani is reincarnated as a fly and decides to seek revenge upon Sudeep and protect Bindu from his intentions. He avenges his death by teaming up with Bindu and making Sudeep's life like a living hell. This comedy, action film is worth watching and is surely one of the top 10 movies of Nani.

2. Gang Leader

In this, Nani plays the role of a small-time crime novelist with the pen name "Pencil". The story revolves around five different age groups of women, from girl children to older women from different walks of life, who want to seek revenge for the deaths of their loved ones in a 300 crores bank robbery. Nani plays the gang leader of these five women and helps them avenge the deaths of the ones they lost. This film is surely worth giving a try.

3. Jersey

Winner of two National Film Awards (Best Feature Film – Telugu and Best Editing), this Gowtam Tinnanuri film is an Indian Telugu sports drama. The film deals with late bloomers who want to aspire to sports but face several complications. Nani plays the character of Arjun, a talented but failed cricketer who decides to return to cricket in his mid-30s despite everyone being sceptical of his ability to do so but is driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team and fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. The film is a highly recommended watch!

4. MCA

Middle-Class Abbayi (MCA) is an action-comedy Telugu film written and directed by Venu Sriram. Nani plays the role of a middle-class guy who stays with his sister-in-law (Bhumika) in Hyderabad. He has issues with his brother because he dislikes his sister-in-law, a transport official. He leads a happy-go-lucky life with his girlfriend (Sai Pallavi), but things change all of a sudden when Bhumika lands into problems with a dreaded criminal (Naresh Vijay) in Warangal. The rest of the story is about how a simple guy like Nani confronts the dreaded gangster and saves his sister-in-law. This is one of the most popular films of Nani, hence worth your watch.

5. Bhale Bhale Magadivoy

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which translated to ‘You are an interesting man’, is a 2015 Telugu romantic film written and directed by Maruthi. It stars Nani, who is seen playing the role of Lucky, an absent-minded junior botanist who is easily distracted by other tasks while working on his current research. Lucky falls in love with Nandana, a Kuchipudi dance teacher, and gets diverted. He creates a positive impression by unknowingly donating blood to one of her students. Trouble begins when he fails to keep up with his amnesia and his aim to prove his worth to her father. The film is packed with comedy and romantic sequences, which ensures that you don’t get bored at any point. It is a must-watch!

6. Shyam Singha Roy

Released in 2021, Shyam Singha Roy is a period romantic drama Telugu film directed by Sankrityan. Nani is seen playing a dual role with Sai Pallavi, who played a prominent female lead. Partly set in the backdrop of Kolkata in the 1970s, it is based on the theme of reincarnation. A budding filmmaker Vasu accused of plagiarizing his movie’s story, dives deep into his past and discovers a transcendental connection to the source material. As per the audience, Nani made a great comeback through this after Tuck Jagadish, and not only he, but Sai Pallavi also nailed her role. The movie has two contrasting halves which are taken superbly. So definitely, this film made it up to our list of top 10!

7. Nenu Local

Nenu Local is a 2017 Telugu-language romantic action-comedy film directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. The film is said to have minted over Rs 60 crores at the Tollywood box office, beating his previous record that was set by ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ (BBM), and the film is said to have minted over Rs $1 Million at the US after Eega and BBM. Nani plays the role of Babu, who is a college graduate with a carefree attitude. Babu accidentally falls in love with a woman whose father despises him. To further complicate matters, his lover has another suitor who is deemed more worthy of her. Nenu Local is completely Nani's flick as he got a chance to showcase his dialogue delivery, and mass avatar to the peaks. Though the story feels a bit old, it has got many twists. So, relax on your couches and give this movie a try!

8. Gentleman

Gentleman is a Telugu romantic thriller directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. It stars Nani in a double role alongside Surbhi, Nivetha Thomas, Tanikella Bharani, Srinivas Avasarala, and Vennela Kishore. The film narrates the story of two women, Aishwarya and Katherine, whose respective lovers, Jayaram and Gautham, are lookalikes. Katherine goes to London for a workshop. On her flight back home, she meets Aishwarya (Surabhi). During their journey to Hyderabad, Katherine gets to know that they both are dating lookalikes. The film has an excellent narration with a twist to end the first half. Situational humor lights up, and care is taken not to spoil the plot with a loud separate comedy track. As the plot unravels in the second half, we enjoy certain unexpected twists. So, hop onto this rollercoaster ride and enjoy the turns!

9. Ninnu Kori

Ninnu Kori which translates to 'Wanting You', is a Telugu film directed by debutant Shiva Nirvana. In this romantic comedy-drama, Nani plays the character of Uma. The story revolves around Uma and Pallavi (Thomas). While Pallavi proposes to elope, Uma resents due to his scholarship deadlines and asks for one more year. Pallavi ends up getting married to her parent's choice and immigrates to the USA post-marriage. Uma, who still is in love with Pallavi, also lands in the US a year later in the hope of getting her back. It is an all-time Nani blockbuster film. This romantic story is heart-crunching and just elevates your heart. It is worth your time.

10. Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha

Towards the end of the list, we have, last but not least, Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. It is a Telugu romantic comedy thriller released in 2016 and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film grossed over three crores at Tollywood Box Office on the opening day, becoming Nani’s biggest opener in India, beating the records of his last film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Nani plays the role of Krishna, who has been in love with Mahalakshmi since childhood, but obstacles stand in the way. When a mafia gang attacks the Rajanna family and abducts three children, Krishna makes it his mission to rescue them and prove himself to Mahalakshmi. Despite very few odds, the film has its share of laughs. It promises a good amount of entertainment even though it has a simple story. The usually suave actor Nani gives a remarkable performance. Watch and enjoy this rom-com with your partner!
