OTT Platform Locked For ‘Court’?

The makers of ‘Court : State vs a Nobody’ look extremely confident about their product.

According to the recent reports, the movie has secured an OTT platform way before its release on March 14. The movie will most probably stream on the OTT giant Netflix after the post theatrical release. The digital rights have been bought in 8 crore, which means that anything above 3 crores would be more than enough to recover the basic costs of the movie.  

‘Court : State vs a Nobody’ is a courtroom drama that is directed by Ram Jagadeesh, and produced by Wall Poster Cinema, which is promoted by popular Telugu star Nani. The movie sheds light on a rather sensitive issue : false rape cases against men, and the potential misuse of the POCSO act.  

Priyadarshi Pullikonda is leading the ensemble cast of the movie that includes Harsh Roshan, Harshvardhan, Rohini, P Sai Kumar, Sivaji, Sridevi, Subhalekha Sudhakar etc. Nani has been extremely appreciative of this movie, to the extent that he has appealed to his followers to not watch ‘HIT 3’ if they don’t like this movie. Interestingly, even though briefly, a similar theme was explored in ‘HIT : The Second Case’, which starred Adivi Sesh in the lead role, and Nani in a brief cameo towards the end.
