This 2015 adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, is essentially a movie on cross-border terrorism in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. An undergraduate boy, Haider returns home to mourn the loss of his father, only to find his mother cozying up to his uncle. Enraged by the lack of empathy of both his mother and his uncle, Haider decides to find his father and punish those behind his disappearance. In his search, the boy stumbles upon a terrorist cult who decides to have him in their fold.
