2. Jal Bin Machhli Nritya Bin Bijli

The filmmakers played with the metaphors and won. Released in 1971, this movie was about a girl named Alaknanda who lived a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed father. This girl is fond of singing and dancing. Her father arranges a marriage for her, but she refuses and runs away to Laitpur, enlists in the song and dance group.

3. Lashtam Pashtam

Is it me, or do even you think that these sound like random noises which are just used to make a lousy title? Don’t sideline the movie because of its name, as this movie is based on the true life story of two boys from India and Pakistan. They meet each other in Dubai and soon become friends for life. But the heat from the hatred the two countries have faced for many years creates problems between the best friends.

4. Test-Tube Baby

If you think that this movie is about some medical documentary, then you are completely wrong. Mohan Sulibhavi is the director of this movie and released the film in 1991. The story is about an unlucky wife, Uma, who resides in a small village of Ganagapur. She has been married for five years but still cannot bear a child. She is mistreated by her family and society. But then the story changes when she goes to the city to have a test-tube baby.

5. Raja Rani Ko Chahiye Paseena

We all can feel the heat just by reading the title, right? The story of the movie surrounds the life of a king and his queen who are unable to have an heir for their kingdom. So they are advised that only an herb mixed with “human sweat” produced by hard work can give them a chance to have an heir. When the king seeks such a commodity he finds the truth of his kingdom.

6. Sasti Dulhan Mahenga Dulha

Comparing people according to money? The world is cruel. Release in 1986, this movie is about a father living with his three daughters in Nagpur. The father wants his daughters to get married but could not afford the dowry. The story has many twists and turns, which lead all three daughters to run away from their house.

7. Andheri Raat Mein Diya Tere Haath Mein

Is there a stronger word to describe the meaning of cringe? Please help. This Indian Bollywood comedy film was released in 1986. The story of this movie is about Birju and Krishna, who want a luxurious and happy life like Yamraj. They are warned not to have such high dreams, but they ignore all the warnings and start to work to get rich.

8. Ghar Mein Ho Sali To Pura Saal Diwali

Krishna, a successful corporate employee, marries a woman of strong faith and religion, Rama. But Rama refuses to make love to him.
