There are many times that you must have felt that non-toxic characters in movies get sidelined, whereas toxic characters get the happy ending with the main character. While many of our Bollywood movies have given us serious couple goals, we have also endured the pain of our favorite character in the film getting friend-zoned. The only thing we can do now is to imagine an alternative ending by rejecting the same old cliché predictable ending of the film. Here are the top 10 such Bollywood characters that didn't deserve to be friend-zoned:
Salman Khan is not used to happy endings in his movies. He plays Aman, who loses his fiance Anjali to Rahul in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, on the day of their wedding. He was friend-zoned when he was the only man in the movie who made sense.
Nisha from Dil Toh Pagal Hai, fell for her best friend, Rahul. She is one of the most relatable characters in the movie with her sense of humor, quirkiness, and spunk. She was indeed a bit more possessive, but that is what love does to people. Nisha deserved a happy ending in Dil Toh Pagal Hai.
From understanding and supporting Shashi's dreams to learn English, Laurent builds a friendship with her without knowing her language. This tells that this friendship is formed on love and respect. Many people wanted Shashi to end up with this French man, although that is pretty unconventional and far-stretched for a film in an Indian setting.
It hurt when Anjali dedicated a lovely song to her best friend Sanjay, but he went on to dedicate the same song to someone else. He tried to ignore her every time Anjali wanted to help him. But Anjali proved to be a great friend throughout the film.
Everyone who watched Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani felt Aditi's pain when she fell in love with Avi, her best friend, couldn’t do anything to get out of the friend-zone. They moved with their lives, and Aditi found a great guy for herself but missed a chance to become one of the loveliest couples on screen.
The movie Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu revolved around the lives of Rahul and Riana, who get married when they're high. They regret it the next morning, but as the movie progresses, we realize that Rahul does fall for Riana, but Riana doesn't and befriends him.
The vibrant and cheerful Akira doesn't get anything other than being friend-zoned by Samar for making him realize and live up to all the fun elements of life has to offer. She brought all the happiness into his life and turned his life around, but Samar ends up with Meera despite all this.
Veronica did everything from putting up with her boyfriend Gautam's and his family's drama to befriending Meera, a stranger stay in her apartment, but all she got in return was betrayal and pain. Veronica deserved way better in the end, but her character doesn't get explored as much after Gautam falls for Meera.
Omar went to another country to see the love of his life, Maya, only to get friend-zoned. The song Tune Jo Na Kaha from this movie is one of the best tracks on unrequited love.
Abhimanyu fell for Shanaya but couldn't do anything about it because she was taken. This must have been a next-level kind of pain being in a friendzone along with your friendship with your best friend turning sour.
