National Film Award For Best Actor

The actor in the leading role for the film gets the National Film Award for Best Actor. Earlier, it was known as the Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Actor. In 1968, the State Awards for the film started this award. and then it was known as Bharat Award for the Best Actor. Then its name was changed to Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Actor in 1975. Till 1974, the winners were honored with a figurine and certificate, but from 1975 onwards, they were presented with a Silver Lotus known as Rajat Kamal.
