Manoj Bajpayee- A Rise And Fall Figure Hindi Article

Manoj Bajpayee Born on 23 April 1969, Manoj Bajpai is first a Bol >> Read More... , well known for playing offbeat and unconventional roles, was born in a small village called Narkatiaganj, in Bihar. Since childhood, he was tilted towards acting but nothing was going right and his four times rejection from National School of Drama was also a sorrowful experience of his life. But his determination and self-belief made him do theater with Barry John Barry John can be considered to be the “Alchemist” >> Read More... along with his studies. He made his first debut in Bollywood with ‘Drohkaal’ (1994). This debut no longer supported Bajpayee to establish in Hindi Cinema; indeed he slept on a bed of rocks after this also. After many unnoticed roles, he proved his first breakthrough with director Ram Gopal Varma Ram Gopal Varma is a famed Indian film director an >> Read More... ’s film ‘ Satya Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ (1998).

Satya brought a new grammar of Indian cinema which nobody had ever seen before, and that was the raw life of a gangster. With a mentor like him, Manoj Bajpayee journeyed from the small screen to the big screen and from national to niche awards. ‘1994-2001’ can be considered as the period of debut to breakthrough for Bajpayee. He was always selected for short roles during this period. After snatching some big roles in Hindi cinema, he started to struggle with himself. His films used to be commercially unsuccessful and directors and producers were losing faith in him. He had still been doing supporting roles in movies between ‘2002-09’. Owing to his shoulder injury, he took a sabbatical from work for around two years and after that he eventually returned in a major role in ‘Jugaad’ (2009). Bajpayee is glad to be known for his art rather than as a poster boy. His trade demands and he supplies. After this he selected movies that were real, honest, entertaining, and full of new ideas and very different concepts.

If the concept and the role did not interest or challenge him, he would never do that film. He would portray his characters with passion and devotion. Many of Bajpayee’s movies were less commercial and more for realism and expressionism. Examples included: ‘Ranjneeti’, ‘Aarakhshan’, ‘Satyagrah’, Chakravyuh’, ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur I’ and certainly ‘ Aligarh Click to look into! >> Read More... ’. For ‘Aligarh’, Hansal Mehta Hansal Mehta is an Indian writer, director, produc >> Read More... (director of Aligarh) was very sure on Bajpayee, owing to his versatile and tremendous acting. Hansal Mehta said in his praise that Bajpayee was definitely amongst the country’s best actors, of all eras put together. He was up there with all the great actors of all country. He deserved much more.

In a conservative country like India, only he has the audacity to play a role of a ‘gay professor’ because he thinks that there is a lot of undiscovered talent amongst the actors of Bollywood, but they are not willing to take risks. Aligarh, reflecting a ‘portrait of loneliness’ proved to be a way for Bajpayee to bag the Dada Saheb Foundation Award. Apart from ‘Aligarh’, he proved himself in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur I’, by maintaining his equilibrium for ‘avenge’. ‘Sardar Khan’ all the time talked about avenges but he deliberately got distracted by women. He methodically justifies his role for ‘inherited crime’ and ‘inherited hate’. His delivery of dialogues use to be very original, since he first identifies the character and then portray it in movies, which is why he has been continuously succeeding from Rajneeti to present day.

Despite his all ‘rise and fall’ life, Bajpayee had never turned back and this resulted for him to bag two times National Film Award and got six times nominated for it. He always looks forward in his career and made himself the icon for many new entrants in Bollywood. His down to earth attitude will take him a long away in Bollywood and this is the very reason, many directors want to do some experiments in his upcoming films, because they can expect much more from Bajpayee than what they want.
