Dialogues That Made The Bollywood Films An Epic Hindi Article

Though the story of Bollywood had begun with the first silent film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ (1913) but its dialogue meeting age groups made it a success in Indian cinema. The dialogues of a particular film formed a larger piece of the moving picture viewing experience. Bollywood represents 43% of net box office revenue titled itself the ‘largest film producer in India’. If a script is a backbone, then dialogues are the heart of a movie. During Elizabethan Drama, protagonists were given stronger dialogues than any other characters to justify the play; on the same account, it always goes to them to justify their lead role in movies.

Cinema, of course, is the best medium to highlight the complexities of time travel and the surprises it brings with it, which is why dialogues also represent the age and decades of Indian Society. Through dialogues, one can easily get to know about the epoch. The decades of Bollywood reflect experiments on it in an intense manner. Following Indian independence (1947), the timeline of 1940-1960 is called the “Golden Age” of Indian Cinema by film historians. The all-time best Hindi movies were made during this phase. The “Golden Age” undoubtedly marks the birth of dialogues in Hindi cinema.

In further decades like the 70s, 80s, and 90s, it used to grab the highest prominence in Bollywood’s films. These decades are the decades of loot, robbery and dacoits which reflect the twentieth century “Medieval India.” The plot of ‘loot’ gave birth to ‘Angry young man era’, which many fans still remember. The dialogues which the actors delivered were mind blowing with a witty and intelligent script, fabulous comic timing, and buckets of action, comedy, special effects, science fiction and motivation. The dialogues of that time have every ingredient for a classic popcorn film.

1990-Present is the age of love, romance, and betrayal in Hindi cinema. The dialogues are highly ‘heart touching’ and use to influence many youths of India as well as other nations. Dialogues were written on the theme of love, distinctively ‘college love,’ ‘innate love’ and ‘deceive.’ The actors were mainly involved in love that creates fantasy and leads to the rise of the protagonists. The theme of ‘savior’ to the actresses from the villain creates a great impact on the society and makes them the ‘hero’ with all intentions.

Recently Bollywood has started to portray a persona through dialogues. Examples include Chulbul Pandey ( Salman Khan Salman Khan is a very famous Indian actor and a pr >> Read More... ) starring in ‘ Dabangg Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ and ‘ Dabangg 2 Click to look into! >> Read More... ’, Manoj Bajpayee Born on 23 April 1969, Manoj Bajpai is first a Bol >> Read More... in ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, and ‘ Aligarh Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ (2014), etc. These movies reflect the funny aspect as well as the severe aspect of characters through their dialogues and its delivery. Even the youth has started to use these in their general conversations.

The dialogues also depict the presence of mind of an artist whose dialogues are dubbed by some other artists. With the experiments of several prominent dialogue writers like Javed Akhtar Javed Akhtar is an Indian poet, lyricist, film scr >> Read More... , Salim Khan Salim Khan was born in 1935 and he is considered a >> Read More... , Kader Khan Kader Khan was born on 12 November, 1937 in Kabul, >> Read More... , ' Gulzar Gulzar is the pen name of the author, poet and pop >> Read More... The Government of India also praises dialogue writers by illuminating them with ‘Rajat Kamal and Rs 50,000’ in National Film Awards The National Film Awards gets presented every year >> Read More... . Dialogues not only have dominated film industry and been prevailing over the box office, but they also help to make the star more famous. No wonder the experimental nature of dialogues in Hindi cinema represents the historic period, era, mentality, trends and occupation of Indian society.
