Bollywood Celebrities At Madame Tussauds Museum

Madame Tussauds Museum in London is one of the most popular wax museums in the world. Many Bollywood celebrities have been honored in the museum.

1. Amitabh Bachchan

He was the first man in Asia and Bollywood to be honored with a wax statue in the year 2000. The immortalized statue of this ever versatile actor got placed at New York in 2009, Honk Kong in 2011, Bangkok in 2011 and Washington DC in 2012. What is more interesting is that Bachchan was nominated by fans in a global online poll.

2. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Another member of the Bachchan family to be waxed in a statue was none other than the green-eyed beauty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She is the first actress in Bollywood whose wax statue was placed at Tussauds in London in 2004. The statue is draped in a beautifully embroidered red chiffon saree with some Kundan jewels. Aishwarya is also the first Indian celebrity whose statue got displayed at Madame Tussauds Museum in Times Square, New York in 2007.

3. Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan of the Bollywood, SRK had his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, London in the year 2007. The actor was too overwhelmed to his statue and even said, "My mother wished I was a part of Madame Tussauds. And when it comes true, you think- is the end and am I to stop working now?"

4. Salman Khan

How could the Dabangg of the Bollywood be not in the race of waxed statue after King Khan? After being entitled as the 7th best-looking man in the world, Salman’s statue was immortalized at London’s Madame Tussauds in 2008. Another statue was installed in 2012 at New York’s Madame Tussauds. The statue is seen flaunting Salman’s biceps in a black vest with black jeans with a denim jacket over his shoulders.

5. Hrithik Roshan

The Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan wax model, was immortalized at London’s Madame Tussauds in 2011. The statue perfectly flaunts Hrithik’s six-pack abs in an unbuttoned pink shirt and low-waist denim. The actor worked hard with the artists in the museum to get a real replica of him.

6. Madhuri Dixit

The Dhak-Dhak queen of the Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit unveiled her statue at London’s Madame Tussauds with her husband in the year 2012. The statue looks replica of Madhuri in a pink saree designed by Varun Bahl and styled by Shaina Nath.

7. Kareena Kapoor Khan

The Begum of Pataudi Nawab too made her presence felt at the Madame Tussauds Blackpool in 2011. Kareena’s was the second Bollywood actress after Aishwarya to be placed at Madame Tussauds. Bebo’s statue looked stunning in a black top and harem pants inspired from her Jab We Met look. The best feature of the statue is said to be the pink lips.

8. Katrina Kaif

The latest in the countdown is none other than Katrina Kaif. Her perfectly sculpted statue was unveiled at London’s Madame Tussauds in March 2015. Katrina Kaif is the latest Bollywood actress at Madame Tussauds, London. "Katrina has collaborated closely with our sculptors and artists to decide a dancing pose and outfit for the figure, having given a sitting in Mumbai where all the measurements required to create an accurate likeness were gathered. A team of 20 artists will work on the figure, which will cost $150,000 to produce.", tweeted the official Madame Tussauds handle.
