1. Sacred Games

Sacred Games is India's first Indian original series starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The series is followed by Vikram Chandra's 2006 novel of the same name, Sacred Game. The series is about a police officer, Sartaj Singh who begins on a search to find a gangster, Ganesh Gaitonde after being apprised by his phone call to save the city within 25 days. Other prominent cast members are Pankaj Tripathi, Radhika Apte, Karan Wahi, Girish Kulkarni, Kalki Koechlin, and Surveen Chawla. It was produced and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, and Neeraj Ghaywan.A total of two seasons aired with eight episodes each.

2. Kota Factory

Kota Factory is one of the most-watched Indian shows on Netflix, created for The Viral Fever by Saurabh Khanna, directed by Raghav Subbu, and produced by Arunabh Kumar. The series revolves around 16-year-old Vaibhav and other students' efforts to get into an IIT by cracking JEE and following their struggle in Kota. Besides other prominent leads, Jitendra Kumar plays the role of Jeetu Bhaiya. He was inspired by Nitin Vijay, founder of Motion Education which is one of Kota's most famous coaching centers. To show the colorless, tedious, depressing aspect of students' lives, the Kota Factory series was black and white.

3. Mismatched

Netflix's popular teen romantic web series starring Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf both have different ways of looking at life. The series is followed by the 2017 novel "When Dimple Met Rishi" by Sandhya Menon. The series follows Rishi, a die-hard romantic who believes in traditional ways of dating who falls for Dimple, who wants to be a prominent developer and is not interested in love, and that's why the series is called Mismatched. It was acquired by Gazal Dhaliwal and directed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikari. With a total of 2 series and 14 episodes, the series also renewed for a third season due to popular demand.

4. Little Things

Little Things is an Indian romantic comedy TV series created by Dhruv Sehgal, who also starred in the lead role with Mithila Palkar. The series follows a young couple in a live-in relationship, Dhruv Vats, and Kavya Kulkarni, as they handle the complex life of Mumbai. This series gives a realistic and relatable portrayal of relationships lived with complexities and joy. The series progressed with everyday life explored through conversation between the two. The first season was released on YouTube in 2016 and, the rest of the seasons 2,3 and 4, are released on Netflix.

5. Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega

Jamtara is an Indian crime web series created and directed by Soumendra Padhi and written by Trishant Srivastava. It shows two mastermind cousins, Sunny and Rocky who along with their best friend and politician Brajesh Bhan secretly run a phishing scam into a small village of Jharkhand named Jamtara. The story takes a turn when a new IAS in Jamtara naturally tries to weed out criminals. The first season was released on Netflix on 10 January 2020. The second season premiered on 23 September 2022 with a total of 18 episodes in both seasons.

6. House Of Secret: The Burari Deaths

Based on a true story, the series deals with the investigation of a disturbing case of Burari which shook the nation. Ten members of the Chundawat family were found hanging including 15-year-olds while the grandmother's body was found strangled in another room. After three years of investigation, it was concluded that it was neither a murder nor a suicide and was an accidental death. Leena Yadav and Anubhav Chopra are the directors of this series. Netflix announced this series in 2021 as one of the Indian original programs. On 1 October 2021, the trailer was released on YouTube, and the three-part series was released on Netflix on 8 October 2021.

7. Delhi Crime

Delhi Crime is one of the most-watched series of 2022, based on the terrible gang rape that happened in New Delhi in 2012. The first installment was based on the fearful Nirbhaya rape case, while the second season was about the criminal gang Chaddi Baniyan. This series was created by Richie Mehta with stars Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang. Delhi Crime became the first Indian series to receive the award for Outstanding Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards held in September 2020. The first season was released in March 2019 and the second season was released in August 2022. The show was renewed with the main cast returning for a second season.

8. Leila

Leila based on the eponymous novel by Prayaag Akbar, Leila follows the story of Shalini who married a Muslim, Rizwan, and gave birth to a daughter, Leila. When Leila is taken away from her, she tries to find her missing daughter. The series has only one season so far, with six episodes. Leila was set in the late 2040s in India that is known as Aryavarta. The show was created by Urmi Juvekar and directed by Deepa Mehta, Shanker Raman, and Pawan Kumar.

9. Masaba Masaba

Masaba Masaba is a series based on the life of Masaba Gupta. It stars Masaba Gupta and her mother, Neena Gupta playing themselves. The series shows a scripted version of the life of Masaba, featuring her family, her love life & her career as a Fashion designer. This series has a total of two seasons with 13 episodes. Masaba balances issues that arise at work and her personal life involving her husband Vinay, from whom she is separating, and a mother who keeps pestering her. Sonam Nair is the director and writer of this series produced by Ashvini Yardi's Viniyard Films.

10. Ghoul

It is one of the most-watched Indian shows on Netflix because of the stunning manner in which it presents important political issues within its scope. This series is written and directed by Patrick Graham, Ghoul features. Manav Kaul as Colonel Sunil Dacunha and Ratanbali Bhattacharjee as Major Laxmi Das, among other characters. The three-part miniseries introduces audiences to a new military recruit Nida Rahim(Radhika Apte) at a detention camp. Her superiors task Rahim with interrogating a new prisoner Ali Saeed(Mahesh Balraj).
