Bushra Ejaz is a prominent writer of Pakistani Punjab novels. She has written quite a few short stories, travelogues, poems and columns. All of her work has received a great deal of attention not only in her own country but also in India. She originally wrote in Urdu and sometimes in Punjabi. In her short story, Bushra Ejaz speaks for the majority of female survival manipulations involved in the patriarchal oppressive discourse that was unknowingly internalized by continuous oppressive rituals and subsidence of existence. She examined the internalization, silence, and ambivalence that make up. Bushra's female character in the story goes against all cultural barriers and may be associated with both Pakistani and Indian females. In any discussion of Bushra Ejaz, her feminist stance must emerge, even if it is a potential, passive and inactive form of feminism.
The current anthology contains articles by critics who analyse stories and poems from different perspectives. It also includes a brief introduction to feminism and writing by Indian and Pakistani women by the editor.
