Cartoonist Mallik

Mallick, widely known as Cartoonist Mallik, is a famous telugu cartoonist, lyricist, composer and musician. Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, he always had artistic inspirations right from the very start. His father used to work in a theatre, and his mother used to sing country songs. With such influence around his home, he was interested in the arts from an early age. He always harbored the dream to become a lyricist for the silver screen. After completing his degree, he decided to go to Hyderabad to pursue his dreams. Upon reaching there, he joined Medical College in Osmania University, since he could not find any place to stay there. When he found a place to stay, he tried to find opportunities in Filmnagar. He tried to find opportunities there, but failed. He further received a little success when he got the chance to write three songs for the 'Ultramodel Andhrababy' album with the help of his friends while staying in the OU hostel.

As a result of its release, he got an opportunity to write songs for a movie. But it was not released. While studying Post-graduate, his attendance had drastically decreased due to regualarly visiting Filmnagar for opportunities and he had to stop his PG and leave the campus. Not finding any success in writing he dropped his desire to become a writer and joined as an assistant music director. He got an opportunity in 2005 with the help of his friend. Vijaya Bhaskar again gave him the opportunity to compose the music for a serial “Thurpu Velle Railu”. The song became popular and won the 2008 'Cinegoer's Award'. He also composed the song 'Ee Radhakrishnarpanam' for serial “ Chinna Kodalu Chinna Kodalu is an Indian Television family drama >> Read More... ”, which has been airing on Zee TV since 2011 which allowed him even more fame and success. He also received the GTV Award for this.

He also composed the music for the daily serial 'Ala Prasutya'. He was awarded “Best Music Director” by the Delhi Telugu Academy. He also does stand-up comedy on TV. He also regularly writes short stories. He had more than 500 short stories published in various Telugu magazines, out of which, 75% percent of the stories were comedy scripts. Satirical Feature ‘Navvite Nava Ratnalu’ – based on a short story every week, was published incessantly for 11 years (1984 – 1995) in Andhra Bhoomi a very popular magazine. He also wrote comedy scripts for the serial episodes telecasted by popular Telugu TV channels like Funnies (E TV), Amrutham (Gemini TV), Sundari Neevekkada (E TV), Andhra Andagallu (Gemini TV), Preminchukundam Raa (MAA TV) and Aavida Naa Bharya Kaadu (E TV). Amrutham became a trendsetter and with great viewership, stood as one of the TOP 10 popular TV shows of Telugu channels. He is also a noted musician. After graduating in Hindustani Classical Music (Sitar Instrument), from Vivek Vardhini Gandharva Vidyalaya, he went on with LIVE (on Radio) solo concerts. A jack of all trades, truly! He is working as the chief editor of the TeluguOne website and as the head of the TeluguOne T.V., the Largest Telugu Portal.
