Lakshmi Bharadwaj is a well-known stage and film performer working since 2015. In the Kannada music video Endu Helada Maatu for singer Santosh Tumnar (2015), she made her debut in cinema. She is renowned for playing the lead female characters in the Kannada feature Vedanti released in 2018, and the Telugu feature Vasantha Sameeram (2018). She has acted in the Telugu language feature Geethanjali released in 2019, for which she also composed the music for Hyderabad-Bengali Film Festival 2019, Florence Indian Film Festival 2019, and New Generations Short Film Festival (2019), as well as a short called " Meera Meera is Tamil mega serial that is being aired in >> Read More... " for the 48-hour film project (2018). Kaalam, a Tamil short film, was screened at the Bay Area Fine Arts (BAFA) film festival (2018). She played the lead role in the socially significant domestic abuse short film Crossing The Waters (2019).
I Don't Miss Him, released in 2017 is a documentary about Alzheimer's disease directed by National Award-winning filmmaker OP Srivastava, and features Lakshmi as a voice actor. In 2013, she worked as a radio jockey for Radio Zindagi. She has also worked in English theatre, such as Mahesh Dattani's Dance Like A Man (2015) and Girish Karnad's Wedding Album (2017), performed by Bay Area Drama Company. She played the part of Chitralekhe in the 2016 Dallas, Texas, repertory performances of Girish Karnad's Yayati, a stage production by the Kannada ensemble Bannadavesha. She has been active on stage as the main female heroine (Mallika) of Aashadada Ondu Dina (2018) and as Ranju in Mahesh Elkunchwar's Wade Trilogy (2019). She most recently played a role in "A Figment," which was staged as part of the Veritas Theatre Festival and put on by Harvard University's Graduate Student Group (2019).
