Kethireddy Jagadeswara Reddy is an Indian politician and producer who has contributed to the Telugu community. Jagadeswara studied at St. Peters High School. Later, he decided to do graduation at Sri Venkateswara University in the town of Tirupati which is famous for Sri Venkateswara temple. If we go to his LinkedIn profile, he has mentioned animation and video graphics as his areas of interest. In 1980, Jagadeswara joined politics when he decided to associate with Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakthi, a youth organization which continues to protect the interests of Andhra people living in the state.
In 2015, Progressive Force of Tamil urged the government to pull down all the busts of non-Tamil personalities and leaders. When PFT announced that they would demolish the statue of the late Shoban Babu, one of the veteran Telugu film superstars. Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakthi rushed to Shoban’s Chennai residence where Jagadeswara led the protests. Alongside the leaders of the Telugu associations, Jagadeswara expressed his support to Shoban’s family in the fight against the evil forces. Eventually, the police were able to prevent the hooligans from vandalizing the statue.
When J. Jayalalitha was the chief minister, her administration introduced a law which made Tamil a compulsory subject in the government schools. Jagadeswara reacted to this by holding protests and dharnas against the chief minister. In the 2016 assembly election, Jagadeswara decided to contest the elections. He stood up against Jayalalitha in her long-time constituency RK Nagar. Jagadeswara also contested the polls from Hosur as many Telugu speaking people live there.
However, Jagadeswara could not manage to win either of the seats as AIADMK won them by a comfortable margin of votes. But Jagadeswara maintained to respect the yesteryear actress for addressing the sentiments of the Telugus staying in the state of Tamil Nadu. He referred to a controversy in which a film degraded Tenali Raman, and Jayalalitha ensured that the makers apologize for their mistakes. So, Jagadeswara opted to produce Amma Desam, a motion picture which would highlight her welfare schemes. Jagadeswara also runs a magazine “Chennaipuri Teluguvani.” Jagadeswara had been a member of Indian National Congress party.
Jagadeswara has also produced Telugu movies as well. His notable projects include Kayka, Simhasanam, Pokiri Pilla, and much more. Reddy lent his voice to the Harry Potter franchise for its Telugu-dubbed version. In 2007, he became a member of the censor board (Andhra Pradesh).
