Atluri Pundarikakshaiah was born in Mekasa Kalapudi near Kaikaluru in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He is an actor, producer, and writer. He is popularly known for producing Telugu films. He studied till 8th standard then he started working to help his father. They shifted to Bejwda later on. There he used to work in rice mills with his uncle, and performed plays occasionally.
