Malathy Lakshman is also called Malathi, was born on 27 August 1973 in Tamil Nadu, India. She is a professional female Indian playback singer. Malathi preferably works in the Telugu and Tamil Industry, so basically she is from the south industry. She started her career in the year 2003 and was welcomed in the film industry in the same year with the two songs named Manmatha Rasa and Vaadi Machhiniyae. In the next year 2004, she got four songs named Kumbida Pona Deivam, Umma Umma, Aa Ante Amalapuram, and Silakemo. In the year 2005, with the songs Gundu Manga, Vangathota, and Jabilammavo. In the next year 2006, she got Undivil, Paniyaram Suttu, and Yammaadi Aathaadi. In the year 2009, she sang songs namely Rangi Ranagamma and En Peru Meenakumari. In the year 2010, Malathi sang Vanga Kadal Ellai.
