Snehalatha Murali

Snehalatha Murali is a Music Composer, Producer, Singer, and Performer. Snehalatha was a folk music composer and had been composing many different songs since three decades; she has sung many folk songs and responsible for protecting the people’s art and various creativity. Snehalatha has concerned in a rich erudite and classic musical background. Her great grandfather is Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu, who is a famous Telugu writer since many decades. Snehalatha parents were also known to the people through different works, her father name is Sri Rajeswara Rao, who is known as a litterateur and her mother name is Gidugu Lalitha, who had known through Folk music throughout the India; besides she also acted as a child artist around fifty years ago in films. Snehalatha is born on the river bank of the Nagarjuna Sagar dam, Nalgonda.

She had brought up in Hyderabad later and completed her PG. Snehalatha had got training from her mother, and she was well succeeded as a composer, singer, and producer. She has one elder sister. Her voice is very melodious, and it will be fit for any type of the songs, Snehalatha songs tuning and framing the words are also very superior. She had given many shows and had sung various songs which had got an enormous response for that. Snehalatha had sung marriage songs in a new, different style and added new colors to those songs through her voice. Snehalatha used to attend various wedding functions with her crew and used to sing ritual-oriented songs, and later it had become popular, now more than sixty troupes were involved in it, each troupe has more than fifteen artists. Snehalatha had released more than 200 audios, video songs and CD’s; in 1995 she had received the award as a Young Musician Award.

In 2007 She was Honored by an award from Ugadi Puraskaram, in 2009 she is recognized by a Pratibha Rajiv Puraskaram from Government of AP. Besides those awards, she is also honored with many awards since the count of her awards is not specified the list goes on. She is the judge for many different shows in the national level; she used to make different tours throughout the world and has got many appreciations from many music lovers. Even though the decades are passing, she had attached to the traditional music by giving life to the classical tunes. She narrated several unsaid facts of her great grandfather and also about his son Gidugu Sithapati. She had won many awards with immense appreciations from worldwide and had created a new trend for singing Folk songs.
