Anshu Ambani

Manmadhudu and Raghavendra are two movies which would be special in the minds of Telugu audiences, also due to the presence of the lovely Anshu Ambani. In fact, she became so famous with these two movies that the Telugites wanted more of her on the big screen.

Anshu, who is mainly remembered for his superb looks and beguiling charm made heads turn with her performance with Nagarjuna in Manmadhudu which was released in 2002. Though the established Sonali Bendre also shares screenspace Anshu nevertheless did her part well. Her role was molded extremely well by director K Vijaya Bhaskar and her acting skills were tapped to a great extent.  After Manmadhadhu she acted in Raghavendra alongside Prabhas. Raghavendra was released in 2003. Anshu appears in the flashback scenes and did what is required of her with conviction. Then in 2004 she acted in Jai, a Tamil film, opposite Prashanth.

Having done a neat job in all her endeavors and having gained good recognition from critics Anshu could have done few more films. However, she suddenly disappeared from the scene thereby shocking her fans.

Cinematographer Kabir Lal was the first person to bring Anshu to stardom; he referred her to director Vijaya Bhaskar. This is how Manmadhudu happened and Anshu was lucky enough to share screenspace with one of the accomplished actors of Tollywood in her first film itself.

On her personal front, Anshu is an NRI living in London. She entered into film industry in her late teens. After doing these two films she got married to another person in London named Sachin. She bid adieu to the tinsel world after tying the knot with Sachin. Now she is happily blessed with a girl. She is not acting now but is busy with her clothing shop ‘Inspiration Couture’. This label designs Indian apparels for NRIs who are living in London. Anshu is also one of the glitteratis among the NRIs living in London.
