Vikram Sahidev Telugu Actor

Vikram Sahidev

Vikram Sahidev is the son of noted Tollywood producer, Sridhar Lagadapati. He is the founder and head of Sirisuns Entertainment (2003), a Telangana-based company that produces television content, and movies under the banner of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. Vikram’s mother, Sirisha Lagadapati is also the co-founder and partner of Sirisuns Entertainment. Vikram has a younger sibling named Prashant Gaurav. The family resides in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The child prodigy kick-started his acting career with Telugu movies like Viyyalavari Kayyalu (2007) and Sneha Geetham (2010) produced by his father’s production house, Larsco Entertainment ( later changed to Sirisuns Entertainment). Although the child Vikram was noticed on screen, he couldn’t claim any commercial success. Like a sailor waiting for the right direction of the wind, Vikram was waiting for the right opportunity, and it soon knocked on his doorstep. Speaking to idlebrain.com Sridhar stated that it is through a mediator that he came to know that director Surender Reddy was looking for a child artist for his upcoming movie Race Gurram (2014), starring superstar Allu Arjun and resplendent Shruti Hassan. Sridhar narrated in a matter-of-fact attitude that Surender called Vikram for the auditions and the next thing he did was watch the first day, the first show of his son’s performance and was thoroughly impressed. Race Gurram was a game-changer for Vikram on several fronts. The film not only won three National Filmfare Awards but set out to bag the highest grossing film of the year 2014. It put Vikram, who essayed the role of child Allu Arjun in the movie, into the immediate spotlight. It is commendable to note that Vikram was just a 7th standard kid juggling school and shooting sets when he was acting in Race Gurram. No wonder, Vikram was signed for his next-in-line Telugu films Pataas (2015) and Sher (2015), not to mention he also starred in the magnum opus Rudramadevi (2015). According to various sources, young Bunny broke the theatre into a frenzy when he uttered the word “De...mu...da” with style and poise, parallel to that of Allu Arjun. He also earned the nickname of “Lucky Star” in the Tollywood film circle. It was a proud moment for Vikram when he was awarded the T. Subbarami Reddy Award for Best Child Actor in Race Gurram in 2015. As featured on the Deccan Chronicle, young Vikram was honoured and stated, “I am happy that I got the award from two big stalwarts Balakrishna garu and Chiranjeevi garu.” In the year 2015, Vikram worked in another movie (young Sudheer Babu) produced by his father called Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini. The movie won Best Romantic Film Award at Jaipur International Film Festival, 2016. In August 2016, Vikram made his debut as a lead in the Kannada remake of super hit Tamil movie Goli Soda. In the movie, Vikram played the role of a young coolie along with three other young male actors. Sources reveal that Vikram shot his role without any make-up – a testimony to his commitment towards his work. It is true that once you are born into a family of influential politicians and producer-parents, life becomes a cake-walk. All you have to do is ‘pull some strings’ and voila! But Vikram’s father has a different path carved out for his son. Father Sridhar isn’t like other celebrity dads, all set to make their sons superstars overnight. He wants Vikram to prove himself as a versatile actor, and then work his way up the ladder, solely on the merit of his acting skills. Speaking to idlebrain.com on 14th August, 2014 Sridhar observed that Vikram was a “self-motivated boy” and once again, on 14th June 2015, he reiterated his faith by saying that “Vikram is focussed, dedicated and disciplined. He will go places.” Vikram will soon be seen winning hearts on the silver screen.

Srikanth Gurram

Srikanth Gurram is a typical upcoming Telugu film star who can sing, dance, fight and emote. And Srikanth can easily step into the shoes of any Tollywood actor, by doing song and dance movies. But then he moved to Web series and short films that were produced in Telugu film industry. It is said that everyone dreams to become an actor, but few are only given a chance. Hence, other actors who want to keep them busy and get noticed nowadays apt for web series too as they are uploaded to YouTube every one hour and this short films have more audiences too. Currently, there is a trend everywhere, either in Bollywood and Tollywood, short films are made and uploaded to YouTube. From this YouTube channel, an aspiring actor can easily make a move to cinema, TV series and even in the areas of commercials too. It may be noted that short films or web series are a hot property now. And for most us, knowledge of movie industry is limited to only those gifted actors who are born in houses of the film fraternity. In Tollywood, the star power is limited to NTR’s family and Allu Arjun etc. One has to have the image of power-star Pawan Kalyan, rebel star Prabhas, Prince Mahesh Babu or young tiger like NTR junior. Can all these qualities of Tollywood big stars ever match with debutante actors like Srikanth Gurram? Perhaps never. And this is a reason Srikanth Gurram chose a different path as an actor and got chances to play a lead role in many web series or short films which are  Tholi Parichayam’ (romantic short film) , 'My Valentine", "Rathnam", “Chelmi”, “ Power Of Star” and “Motta Modatisari'‘, etc.  He shot to fame with ‘Motta Modatisari’ where he played the role of an investigative officer and the plot had five murders, two mysteries, and three investigative officers. Srikanth Gurram is now the superstar of off-beat short films and web-series which has become synonymous with consumers viewing on YouTube to experience the convenience of virtual home entertainment, the movies can be seen even in android and smartphones anytime, anywhere.
