Venkattram Reddy

T Venkattaram Reddy, born to Chandrashekar Reddy Chandrashekar Reddy is a producer in the Kannada i >> Read More... (congressman and member of Rajya Sabha), is a former newspaper tycoon and former chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Deccan Chronicle or DC. He is also the owner of ‘Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited’ (DHCL) under which the Deccan Chronicle is published. He took charge of the company at the young age of 21. His former team Deccan chargers won the IPL trophy for the IPL Trophy 2009 season.

Reddy also used to run numerous publications under the banner of DHCL, some of them are- Deccan Chronicles ­­­–– the largest English newspaper in South India The Asian Age ––it is mostly active in Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi and London, Financial Chronicle –– it is a business newspaper that is published in major cities like New Delhi; Andhra Bhoomi –– A telugu newspaper published mainly from Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh;   Andhra Bhoomi Sachitra Masa Patrika ; and Andhra Bhoomi Panchangam.

He has also contributed a lot to the “Hyderabad Race Club.” He owns numerous horses at the Malakpet Stable, that have participated in races all over the country. He also owns a museum that displays a vast collection of artifacts related to the printing press.
