Srikanth Sri Appalaraju is a film director. He is known for his significant contributions to the film industry through his films such as Cheema Prema Madhyalo Bhama, My Cowboy, and Take it Easy! He was born in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Srikanth completed his bachelor's in engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and his master's degree in computer science from Andra University. He also holds a master's in business administration from Indiana University. Srikanth pursued his interests in filmmaking, film direction, screenplay, photography, and editing at New York Film Academy. Srikanth began his career as a filmmaker in San Diego, California in 2012.
He has won several awards for his work, including an award of merit for filmmaking in The Accolade Competition, California, an award of merit for filmmaking in the Best Shorts Competition, California, an award for excellence in Filmmaking at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival, Washington, and an award at the Jamfest Indie Film Festival, Louisiana. He was also awarded Honorable Mention Status at the San Diego Christian Film Festival and the Seven Summits Award at the Mountain Film Festival, California. Srikanth has written and directed many films that were screened at the International Film Festivals. In 2016, Srikanth joined Magnum Opus Films and directed 'Cheema - Prema - madhyalo Baama!' H works for Amoeba Creations, Inc. and also freelances. Srikanth resides in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
