Katta Subba Rao was a Telugu director born on 3 January 1940. He directed movies that depicted the relationships of Indian families, concerning issues and romance between naughty husbands & wives, Indian marriages, sons-in-law, mothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, etc. In 1979, he worked in Dasha Tiringindi, and Viyyalavaari Kayyalu. In 1980, he worked in Mogudu Kaavali, Bangaaru Bava, Kodallostunnaru Jagratta, Konte Mogudu – Penki Pellam, Pelli Gola, and Life of Sunhoo Park.
