AjayKumar is an Indian director who works for the Tollywood industry. His recent work is “ Vegam Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” a Telugu movie which is scheduled to be released on 22^nd November 2020.

AjayKumar is a native of Warangal. He used to write poetry and essays from ever since he can remember. In 1986, when he was in grade six, he sent his poetry to a radio program for kids called “Bala Nadam- Bala Vinodam.” His work was read on the radio program and this increased his enthusiasm and confidence. He was also encouraged to write to radio stations like Yuvavani in Hyderabad and FM Radio in Warangal and this kindled in him an interest in working for the film industry no matter what the job was.

In 1990, Kumar decided he wanted to get an insight into the world of cinema for which he travelled to Chennai, without informing his parents. He roamed around the cities aimlessly because he didn’t have anyone he knew in the place, and language was a barrier. Neither did he have any godfathers in the film industry to help him launch his career. Soon, he discontinued his degree and went to Hyderabad during 1993 and this was also the time that the Tollywood industry had shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad. Once again, he didn’t have any acquaintances, but he managed to make friends pretty soon.

He started his career with 3D commercials and went on to be the assistant director of a comedy television serial, which was directed by senior artist Naresh. The people in the set saw how hard-working Ajay was and how actively involved he was in the work, which made them tell him about vacant posts of assistant directors they knew of. He soon went to Padma Laya Tele Films. There, the manager introduced him to Mr. Prabhakar Reddy, a director, writer, and producer, who was planning on starting work for a movie called “Comrade,” starring Bhanuchandar. This was his first movie as an assistant director. He has done twenty-five movies as an assistant director.

AjayKumar’s latest movie, “Vegam,” stars new actors as he loves supporting local talent, and he wishes this movie bears fruit for his twenty-year career.
