Sandhya Sabbavarapu

Sandhya Sabbavarapu is an Indian Costume designer, Stylist, and Fashion Designer who predominantly works in the Tollywood film industry. She was born and raised in the state of Telangana in South India. Sandhya Sabbavarapu was interested in the world of fashion from a young age. After completing her general studies Sandhya Sabbavarapu did a diploma course at the Hamstech College of Fashion and Interior Designing.

She initially started working in the film industry when she was only twenty years old and managed to get into the Telugu film industry with the help of her cousin. Sandhya Sabbavarapu noticed that her field had limited competition and pushed forward while doing much of the initial research into the requirements by herself.

The first film Sandhya Sabbavarapu worked on was ‘ Geetha Govindam Click to look into! >> Read More... ,’ which was released in 2018. The film was written and directed by Parasuram and is a romantic comedy filled with twists and misunderstandings. Sandhya Sabbavarapu carefully selected and designed the outfits for the film's lead pair, Vijay Deverakonda, and Rashmika Mandanna, in order to fit the aesthetic of the film. The next project Sandhya Sabbavarapu worked on was ‘Mehbooba,’ which was released in the same year. The film was written and directed by Puri Jagannadh and is based on a love story that takes place during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Here, she had the chance to work with celebrities such as Abel, Aditya Alluri, and Anish.

Over the course of her career, Sandhya Sabbavarapu has worked on a diverse range of projects, including films such as 'Raju Gari Gadhi 3,' 'Bheeshma,' 'Rang De’ (2021), and 'Varudu Kaavalenu.' She is a versatile stylist who understands the different requirements of each project and contributes accordingly. Sandhya Sabbavarapu’s ability to adapt has also increased her demand in other industries like Tamil films.

Besides working on films, Sandhya Sabbavarapu has also contributed to the small screen industry by working on TV advertisements. This is a skill the stylist finds more meticulous than working in the film industry due to the increased attention to detail. Apart from the onscreen industry, Sandhya Sabbavarapu also works as an independent stylist. Her ability to help people pick out the right outfits for weddings and special occasions has earned her a reputation as a trusted stylist in the city.
