Lakshmi Deepthi Pothineni

Lakshmi Deepthi Pothineni is a costume designer and an Indian classical dancer and musician born in Machination, who acquired rigorous training in these arts. Lakshmi Deepthi Pothineni, predominantly worked in the Tollywood entertainment industry. Since she was little, she has appreciated many different kinds of art. Lakshmi received a coveted marketing position in Bengaluru following her graduation from business school. Lakshmi immigrated to the US to pursue a career in fashion at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). In her final semester at SAIC, Lakshmi developed "Threads of Freedom," a mystically gorgeous clothing line in which she experimented with the Kalamkari technique, a traditional Indian art.

"Threads of Freedom" was lauded at the Hard Rock Fashion Show and Kenmore Fashion Studio. Lakshmi worked as an intern for Chicago-based designer Katrin Schnabl before beginning her career.
