Pravalya Duddupudi

Pravalya is a Production Designer in the main. She is also associated with Space Designing and Interior projects and is well-known for her work in “Gaami” and “Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalayanam,” released in 2022. She is from Vizag but has been staying in Hyderabad for the last seven years. She did her graduation in Production Designing, a 4-year course, from NIFT. She started working in Inhabit, an exceptional home décor atelier. Her job was interior and furniture designing. Later, she joined Livspace. However, Inhabit played a vital role in her life. While working there, she met an acquaintance who worked in films. Her director needed a set that could fit his budget, and Pravalya is a master in this. She can create brilliant designs on a low budget; she helped them in this and fortunately met the filmmaker of Gaami there. They were impressed by her props and wanted her to be a part of the production team.

She did not leave her job at Livspace and used to work for the film from 6 till midnight, which was after her working hours. Since there was no particular team available, she took the help of painters and sculptors to prepare the set. To set foot in the industry was not a child’s play. The film industry was male-dominated, and for a woman to go there and make everyone work accordingly took a lot of strength and courage. She made sure that her work was not affected due to this. Besides, she is very particular about her work and picks only those projects which allow her to be in her creative space. Pravalya is a focused and innovative person. She aims for quality in her work rather than completing it in a hurry. She holds a great deal of courage and is working hard every day to make a position in the industry
