Mugdha Puranik has become a household name since the actress’ role as Nayana in the Marathi television series Maza Hoshil Na aired on Zee Marathi. The show has earned the actress immense popularity, even though she has been active in the industry for only a while. The actress has been a part of several other shows earlier. Since childhood, Mugdha has been interested in acting and used to work at theatres when she was at school. The actress studied at CK Gandhi School, Kalyan, and graduated from D G Ruparel College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Mumbai. While Puranik was at college, she was a part of many plays and was lauded for her acting skills. While in Kalyan, she showcased her acting skills in the play Mother’s Day by Anurag Sanstha, which bagged the first prize in an international competition.

Puranik’s career began with the lead role in the short film Gumsum, directed by Anant Sutare. That was the first time that she faced the camera. Aside from that, she also took part in the commercial play Ovi. However, her big break came with a role in the popular series Maza Hoshil Na. Her role as Nayana in the show won her a lot of appreciation.

In Puranik’s own words, her participation in her school annual functions ignited her acting spark. She developed an interest in oratory and acting and dreamed of becoming an actress. Mugdha had to struggle a lot to achieve success in the field of acting. Considering that she was the first person in her family to venture into the line, Mughda was very insecure and harbored self-doubt. However, support from her family gave her a boost, and she began her journey in the sphere of acting.

In an interview, Puranik stated that succeeding in this field is not easy and requires great effort. However, she added she has been trying her best and has begun to reap the rewards of her relentlessness. She feels her character Nayana in the series Mazha Hoshil Na has given her real fame, and audience appreciation is the main force that motivates her to work harder. Besides being talented as an actor, the Marathi actress is fond of singing and keeps sharing videos of her songs on her Instagram handle.
