Sameer Samant is a renowned lyricist in Maharashtra, India. He is known for his contribution to the Marathi film industry. He was born on the 15^th of August in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling at Gokhale Education Institute, Borivali and his graduation from Mithibai College. He debuted his career in the film “Katyar Kalijat Ghuli” (2015), directed by Subodh Bave. He has written lyrics for music videos, Marathi soap operas and many Ganpati songs. Some of his well-known songs are “Dil ki Tapish”, “Yaar Ilahi”, “Sur se Saji Sangini”, and many more. He has also written songs for various music albums like Darmiyaan Hindi Music Album and Marathi serials such as “Shaurya”, “Chitrakathy” and “Nakushi”.

He was awarded the Best Emerging Songwriter – Radio Chilli Award 2016 for a song in the movie “Katyar Kalijaat Ghusli” and the Zee Gaurav Award 2016 for a song in Hech Aamche Parthana Ya Ubuntu. From writing songs in music videos to writing songs for films and serials, Sameer has been a versatile songwriter which has earned him recognition in the Marathi film industry.
