Ashwini Shende is a Lyricist and a writer in the Marathi television and film industries. Ashwini completed her studies at the Sathaye College in Vile Parle, Mumbai. This college was fondly called the “Parle College” by the people in Mumbai. She was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After completing her education in literature, she worked as a journalist in “The Indian Express.” Her passion for poetry and writing made her quit the job and enter the Film and television industry. She has also penned the song "Saath De Tu Maala" for the Marathi romantic drama film "Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2." This movie is about two youngsters from different cities. They plan to get married but later have second thoughts about it after learning about their families. Ashwini penned the script and lyrics for this Marathi movie. The entire film was a big bang for the Marathi audience.
