Indrajit Bhalerao is a well-known lyricist from the Marathi industry. He writes poems, novels, and articles. Indrajit is the poet of agriculture. He writes about agricultural culture like villages, farmers, fields, animals, grass, taho, mala, mal, shiva, and many more. During the camp organized by the Maharashtra State Board of Literature and Culture at Kolhapur, Indrajit presented his poem. The publisher present, in the audience, was impressed by the poem, and he offered Indrajit to publish his poems.
Indrajit's first collection of poems, Peekpani, was published in 1989. Later he wrote Amee Kabadache Dhani (Long Poem), Dur Rahila Gao, Kulambinichi Kahani, Ugvale Narayan (Folk Poem), Gai Alla Ghara (articles), Lala, Gharidari (articles), Bhingulwana (novel), Ranmalechi Wat (Children's Poem), Gavakadan Chal Mere Dosta (Kumar Poems), Pera, Taho, Bhumiche Mardav (poems), Gharidari (articles) and many more. He has also written the biographies of Jijabai, Sant Janabai, Tarabai Shinde, and the birth centenary of Raghunath. Indrajit is known for his poetry. Professor N. D. Patil, the leader of the Farmers Workers Party, compares Indrajit Bhalerao to English poet Robert Frost. For his creative literary work, he was honored with the Labhsetwar Award in his hometown, Parbhani.
