Jayanti Waghdhare is a well-known media personality, who has carved a name for herself as a top-notch journalist throughout the course of her decade-long career. She pursued a P.G Diploma course in Journalism and Mass Communication. In 2009, she landed her first job at the NMTV local news channel. She then joined Mi Marathi, as a reporter and a writer specialising in the entertainment beat. She also started her career as an anchor within the same organisation. Jayanti joined Zee 24 Taas as a senior correspondent in 2011. Having worked for them for 10 years, she became synonymous with entertainment news on the channel.

During her tenure, she got to interview almost all of the A-listed artists of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit and many other famous personalities. Jayanti has taken a step forward after a successful career in journalism, and transitioned into the digital realm. Recently she made headlines when it was announced that she had been appointed as the AVP – Social Media at Planet Marathi OTT. The company is headed by Akshay Bardapurkar and it is the world's first-ever Marathi-only OTT platform.

Jayanti was also honored with the prestigious award ‘Devarshi Narad’ for anchoring and presentation on Planet Marathi at Rajbhav by the honourable governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais. She also organized a workshop on anchoring and voiceover with RJ Shravan and RJ Pratham at Zee Entertainment Channel.
