Kannur Rajan

Kannur Rajan was a Malayalam Music Composer. He was born, on June 24, 1940, in Kannur, Malabar District, Madras Presidency, British India. He belongs to the state of Kerala, India. He belongs to a low-income family in Kakkad, near Kannur. He stepped into Malayalam Cinema, with his 1st music composition for the movie Mister Sundary, in 1974. He has worked with many significant singers and lyricists in the Malayalam Film Industry, and composed music for almost 50 films. His brother-in-law is a Malayalam director K.K. Haridas.

He did a few albums, namely Hridayanjali in 1983, Ragaveena in 1984, Swathanthrya Samara Gatha in 1985, Karvarnan and Sreerama Ganamrutham in 1992, Sruthilaya Tharangini in 1993, and Krishnanamam in the year 1995. He did two marriages. His first wife was Swarnalatha, and he had two sons from the first marriage, after he married Vilasini and had three children in the second marriage. He was the father-in-law of Sharreth, a famous singer and music director. He died because of a massive heart attack, while he was composing for a movie named Kokkarakko, on April 7, 1995, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
