Ambili was born in Kerala, India. Along with voice dubbing, she was also interested in dialogue writing. Some of the famous characters she gave her voice are Shalini in the movie Kaliyoonjal in 1997. Jomol, in the film Niram in the year 1999, is another character she gave her voice to. She has done dubbing in more than 500 movies. She got married to dubbing artist Chandramohan and has two daughters Vrinda and Vidya. Ambili had passed away at the age of 51 because of cancer.
