Yang Yun Ho is a film director cum screenplay writer born on 11th November 1966 in Jeju Island, South Korea. He completed his Theater and Film Studies at Dongguk University. He made his debut with the short film Na Dul in 1991 in the lighting department. In 1992, he debuted as a screenplay writer and a director with the short film, The Extra Lanes. In 1993, he became an assistant director in the film, When Adam Opens His Eyes. He also worked in the 1995 film Mom The Star And The Sea Anemone as an assistant director. In 1996, he made his debut as a director in Yuri. Besides directing, he was the planner and penned the screenplay too.

In 1997, he directed Mister Condom, and in the same year, he worked as an assistant director in the film, Henequen. In 1998, Yang Yun Ho directed the film Zzang. The next year, he directed White Valentine, featuring Park Shin Yang and Jun Ji Hyun. It is the debut film for Jun. In 2000, he directed the film Libera Me. The action film featured Choi Min-soo, Cha Seung-won, Yoo Ji-tae, Park Sang-myun, and Jung Joon in the main roles. After a gap of three years, he directed the film Fighter In The Wind. This film was based on Karate Baka Ichidai, a Japanese story. Yang Dong-Geun, Masaya Kato, and Aya Hirayama played the lead roles. In 2006, he worked as the script editor and directed the film Holiday. In 2007, he released the movie Rainbow Eyes. The police thriller reached the audience well, and it was also remade in Thai as Cheun. Rainbow Eyes had Kim Kang-woo, Kim Min-sun, and Lee Soo-Kyung in important roles.

In 2009, he directed a TV drama, Iris. Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee, Jung Joon-ho, Kim Seung-woo, Kim So-yeon, and Choi Seung-hyun are cast. In 2010, he directed Iris The Movie. On 21st March 2010, the film was premiered at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. Although it didn’t see a theatrical release, it was premiered on satellite channels and online portals. In the same year, Yang directed Grand Prix, a sports film featuring Kim Tae-hee, Yang Dong-Geun, Park Geun-Hyung, and Go Doo-shim. In 2011, he worked as a supervising producer in Ghastly and directed a short film, Share the Vision.
