Smita Kapoor

Smita Kapoor is a writer cum director in the Hindi TV industry. In 1997, she completed her degree in Psychology and English Literature from R.D. National College. In 1998, she got a Diploma in Journalism from the Bombay College of Journalism. In 1999, she joined Xavier's Institute of Communication and did a diploma in communication studies in film and TV production.  

In 2004, she worked for Zee TV as a director. In 2006, she joined Shadow Films as the first assistant director. In 2007, she joined Pogo channel as a scriptwriter. In 2008, she worked for Optimystix Entertainment India Pvt Ltd as the project lead in creative development. In 2009, she joined Star India Pvt Ltd as a director and worked on the show Star Sansaar STAR Sansaar was a promotional and reality televis >> Read More... . In 2011, she worked as a senior consultant for Star India. In 2013, she joined the Future Learning - Learning & Knowledge Development Arm of Future Group as an associate content writer. In 2014, she worked as an associate screenplay writer at Colors TV. In 2015, You’ve Been Pinged, her script, was chosen for NFDC’s Romance Screenwriter’s Lab. The same year, her script Shona’s Soldiers, was selected at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival. Her directorial debut was a short film, Kash. It was selected to be screened at the Karachi International Film Festival. In 2016, she joined Zee International as a scriptwriter. In 2018, she joined Nickelodeon as a scriptwriter. She worked there till 2024.
