Nikhil Chandwani is a talented writer, TED(x) speaker, columnist, and entrepreneur. He was born on 22 September 1992. After dropping out of engineering college, Nikhil pursued his BA in History. Currently, he is doing his Master's degree in Anthropology in IGNOU and plans on doing his Ph.D. in History with a specialization in Anthropology. Nikhil's books, Tale of an Unconscious Mind, The Recycle Man Story of Dr. Binesh Desai's Life and Works, and Strange Tides on Broken Rhymes have sold over 1 million copies worldwide. He also co-authored Illusions of a Starry, Starry Night, and Thirsty Pilgrims. Nikhil has also worked as a travel scriptwriter and director in 48 countries.
He has directed TV shows like Escape from Kenya and Amazing Amazon Adventures. A multifaceted person that he is, he worked as a professor at KL University, Vijayawada, and appeared as a guest to give lectures in IITs and IIMs. He is the founder of Writer's Rescue Centre to publish struggling authors by providing one-on-one mentorship. He has helped over 104 authors in India itself. He has received the Rashtriya Gaurav award for his social entrepreneurship skills and was also a Padma Shri nominee in 2018. Nikhil also works as a columnist for Times of India, Times of Israel, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
