Charan Singh Pathak is an acclaimed writer hailing from Rajasthan. He was born in Nadoti Tehsil of Karauli district in Rajasthan. After completing his primary education, he went to Hindaun and Bhawani Mandi in Rajasthan for his further studies. He went to undergo a teacher’s training program and later became a teacher at a government school. He was passionate about writing from a very young age and therefore he started a daily newspaper of Rajasthan where he wrote stories, articles and poems. He used to send in his entries in the magazines like Madhuri, Kadambini, Nanjyoti and several others. He won a lot of fame for his story Bakhad published in a Rajasthan Magazine in 1998. This story won the Navjyoti Katha Samman.
He is well-known for his three books, each containing ten stories: Baat Yeh Nahi Thi(2005), Pipal Ke Phool(2010) and Goru Ka Laptop Aur Gorkee Ke Bhains(2014). The story of the film is based on Charan’s story written quite some years ago entitled Two Sisters. Kasai, another story of him is also chosen to be made into a film. Once he fell ill and was prescribed bed rest by the doctor. During that time he wrote a story Gauri Babu Ke Sapne which he sent for Weekly Hindustan, a weekly magazine. Besides being a prolific writer, he is also an amazing speaker. He went as a speaker in the Jaipur Literature Festival and by his inspiring and enlightening speech he won the hearts of million listeners.
