In the beginning of the series, 28-year-old Mrityunjay Mishra, aka Bunty, searches for Dulaar Chacha. He promises himself to gift his father, Ramakant Mishra Bio coming soon... >> Read More... , his scooter back, named ‘Dulaar Chacha’ on his birthday. The series takes place in Lucknow during the teenage days of Bunty. One day, the Mishra family plans to go to the cinema. Ramakant’s wife, Rajni Mishra, tells him she wants to go on a scooter ride with him after the movie. He agrees to it. The next day, he asks to borrow a scooter for a day from Verma, but he denies it. He gets upset as he cannot fulfill his wife’s such a small wish. However, Rajni tells him her happiness lies in going with him, not in going by scooter. She suggests that they go by rickshaw instead.

After coming from the movie, Ramakant informs his wife that he’ll buy a scooter for her by taking a loan from his company. She says that she will also save some money for it. Six months later, he buys a scooter. Everyone gets overjoyed with happiness. Bunty asks them what they will name their scooter. His mother suggests the name ‘Dulaar Chacha’ which was the name of his father’s close friend whom he still remembers a lot and that’s how the scooter got named, Dulaar Chacha.

Rajni’s brother, Pintu, visits them. Rajni and Pintu misunderstand Ramakant for having an extramarital affair with Rinki, who is the love interest of Pintu. Later, they realize Ramakant took Pintu’s marriage proposal to Rinki’s family, and they agreed to it. Hearing the news of Pintu’s marriage, Rajni and Pintu become happy. Rajni takes a fast for her husband, but she falls down due to dizziness. Ramakant rushes her to the hospital. The series also shows the immense love and care of a wife for her husband.

Ramakant’s scooter, Dullar Chacha, gets stolen; everyone breaks down in tears. They file a police complaint. Eventually, they find it out and are overwhelmed with joy. Bunty’s bua, Rekha, who comes from a well-off family visits them. They plan to explore Lucknow together. She insists Ramakant and Rajni go with them by car instead of Dulaar Chacha to explore Lucknow. They agree unwillingly. However, the next day, they go by Dulaar Chacha and enjoy the day wholeheartedly. This series also shows a glimpse of the love lives of teens. Bunty falls for a girl named Preeti Jaiswal, his batchmate in coaching. He shows his willingness to become her boyfriend. She puts a condition on it and asks him to bring his father’s scooter first and take her on a ride. Bunty asks his father in several ways, but he denies. Subsequently, he steals the scooter from his house and takes Preeti on a ride.

As time goes by, after doing a lot of hard work, Bunty passes an engineering exam. Due to financial issues, Ramakant has to sell Dulaar Chacha to pay Bunty’s fee for an engineering college. With a heavy heart, they sell Dulaar Chacha. However, after years, Bunty searches for Dulaar Chacha and gifts it back to his father on his father’s birthday. Seeing Dulaar Chacha back, they all get teary-eyed.
