He spent the majority of his childhood in Patiala, Punjab. In 1990, he moved to Delhi and got admission in Apeejay School, Noida. He did his Bachelors Degree in Business from one of the most esteemed colleges of Delhi University- ‘Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies’. In 2003, he completed his Diploma in Cinema from ‘Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute’. While enrolled at the Institute, he made a documentary ‘An Actor Prepares’ which entered Cinema Du Reel, a documentary film festival in France. After griaduating from SRFTI, he started working for international channels like ZDF/Arte, Japan, and NHK for whom he produced and directed documentaries.
