Sumit Misra

Renowned Indian vocalist Sumit Misra was born on 16 September 1992 in Malda, and his interest in music is inherited as he was born in a famous Musical family of Benaras Gharana. Sumit’s voice intrigues the listener and can entangle their messed thoughts. Sumit’s voice was capable enough to convince everyone that he is a true deserver of the National Award for Indian Classical Music Scholarship. Thus, the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India honored him with the same. 

He was the winner of Classical (Vocal) at Bharat Kala Utsav in 2016. Sumit became a champion of Classical (Vocal) at Rajya Sabha Sangeet Academy. It looks like firsts were so common for Sumit. He again stood 1st in Indian Classical Music and was also the Best Competitor in the most valuable 76th ALL INDIA MUSIC COMPETITION, 2016 organized by CHETLA MURARI SMRITI SANGEET SAMMILANI. And the list of capturing first positions in various prestigious events continues. Sumit’s success didn’t come overnight; he has worked harder each day to make his destiny.
