Manava Naik was born on 8th September in Mumbai. Her mother Deena is a well known Marathi actress and her father used to translate English scripts into Marathi. Thus she was brought up in a family connected with acting. She was interested in acting from her childhood and acted in many play and dramas in her school and college days. She studied in St. Joseph's Convent and then went to Ruia College for her graduation with English Literature as her major subject. After her graduation she also completed a course in film making from New York Film Academy in New York.
She started working in TV serials from 2005. Her first TV serial was Special Squad. After that there was no looking back and she became famous in roles in popular soap operas like Baa, Bahu aur Baby in Star Plus where she acted as Dimple Thakkar, Teen Bahuranian as Manjeet. Apart from the serials, she also acted in some movies and her role of Nilakshi in Aishwarya Rrai starrer 'Jodha AkbarJodha Akbar is a very popular epic historical tele >> Read More...' was much lauded.Â
Apart from Hindi TV serials and movies, she is also a regular in Marathi TV and movies. Her Marathi movies include langar, dam Asel tar, No Entry Pudhe Dhoka Ahe, Kaksparsh, Hamidabai chi Kothi and others. She also directed Marathi movie Porbazaar and theatre Tera Te Tewis.
